Watches Stolen At Taupo
(N Z. Pres* Auociation TAUPO. March 2 Thieves early this mornir.g stole ISO watches, JO rings and a number of small broochis and other jewellery, valued at £lOOO from McClurgs jewellery shop at Taupo. A large diamond brooch worth £585 has been displayed in the shop window for some week* and it is thought the thieves were after this, but with other valuable pieces it i* locked in the safe when the shop close*
