ACCOUNTANCY STUDENTS
Concern At Rise In University Fees Concern over the increase in university fees is expressed by the Christchurch Accountant Students’ Society, which has issued questionnaires to gauge the reaction of commercial students. “A sufficiently large number of questionnaires was returned to give a representative view of the effect of increased fees and bursaries upon commerce students,” says the secretary of the society (Mr G. H. Perkins) in a circular. The society’s committee intends to inform the university of the results of the change as disclosed by the questionnaire, says the circular. “Concern is expressed that not all students have obtained the maximum benefit possible from the bursary to which they are entitled.”
