Chances for IndonesianDutch talks over Dutch New Guinea had increased, the Dutch Prime Minister, Professor Jan de Quay, said after a four-hour special Cabinet meeting early today.
The Cabine* met to consider reports from the Foreign Minister, Dr Joseph Luns, who has been having balks on the dispute with President Kennedy American efforts had "played a role" in the improved outlook for talks, said Professor de Quay. The Prime Minister dented that the Dutch Government would send further military reinforcements to West New Guinea.
He said that the New Guinea dispute was a matter of concern for the entire Dutch nation and presumably also for a large part of the world.
