AVONDALE STAND
Contract For £130,000 (N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. February 15. A contract was signed today for the erection of a new public cantilever stand at Avondale racecourse, costing £ 130,000. The stand will accommodate about 6000 and will be 200 ft by 60ft. with three storeys. It will include a cafeteria, public bar, women's and escorts’ bars, totalisator accommodation and conveniences. The Avondale Jockey Club Is also Investigating the inclusion of a closed TV circuit for showing dividends. The completion date for the stand is October 31.
