Chinese Bosun In Court <NZ Frew AMoeiatton) WELLINGTON. Feb 15. The arrival of Customs inspectors aboard the motor vessel Van Cloon yesterday caused a commotion among the Chinese erew. the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington was told today. Crew members scattered, said Mr C T QI ere. prosecuting for the Customs Department. The bisun. Chan Kan. was chased by an inspector and caueht as he was entering his cabin. A transistor radio dropped to the floor. Chan Kan admitted breaking the Customs regulations by having restricted goods concealed aboard and was convicted and fined £25 by Mr M. B. Scully, S.M.
