Talks On Future Of Nyasaland
(N Z.P.A .•Reuter—Copyright) ZOMBA (Nyasaland), Feb. 13 The British Commonwealth Relations Secretary (Mr Sandys) conferred yesterday with Dr Hastings Banda, the African nationalist leader who has said he will take Nyasaland out of the Rhodesian Federation. Details of their discussion were not available, but it was believed that if Nyasaland had internal self-government. Dr. Banda might agree to its remaining in some much looser form of federation. In Salisbury, the Prime Minister of the Central African Federation (Sir Roy Welensky) yesterday accused anti-federalists of seeking to bring the “law of the Jungle" into Central Africa, the British United Press reported.
