Discussion Of Tenders
"The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, Feb. 14.
It is likely that arrangements for construction of the Avondale Jockey Club’s new public grandstand will be completed tomorrow. The committee members of the club met last evening to consider tenders for the building which were called toward the end of last year A sub-committee will discuss contract details tomorrow morning.
The proposed stand, which will have as its base the existing grandstand, built at a cost of £30.000 is expected to seat between 5000 and 6000 people. It will provide betting and all other facilities under one roof.
