Satisfactory Half-Year (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 14. Sales of ice-cream end frozen foods were at record levels and the results for the first six months of the current financial year were most satisfactory, said the chairman of General Foods Cornoration (N.Z), Ltd.. Mr A E Hayman, today. The company has announced a steady interim dividend of 5 per cent on capital raised by the one-for-four cash issue last May The shares became ex-divi-dend on February 25 At the time of the issue the directors forecast that the dividend rate of 11 per cent for the year would be held unless there was any material change in trading conditions. Mr Hayman said it was con fldently expected that trading would continue to be satisfactory for the rema ; nder of the year. The new building at Mount Wellington, the largest of its kind in New Zea land or Australia was nearing completion. The move to it from Epsom would probably be made during the winter.
Early Brothers Dividend
Early Brothers Dental and Surgical Supplies, Ltd. Christchurch, annual dividend on old ordinary shares is 10 per cent, and on new shares 7J per cent.; payable April 4, ex dividend March 20. Last year, when t'he accounts covered 14 months, dividend on old shares was 16 2-3 per cent, and on new shares half dividend.
Two New Mt. Isa Projects

Queensland’s biggest mining company, Mount Isa Mines. Ltd., has announced two big developmental projects which it will start immediately. They are the building of a giant new ore treatment plant costing £9 million at Mount Isa. and exploration of possible mineral deposits in northern New South Wales. A company spokesman said yesterday that the new plant would be capable of treating 6000 tons of ore daily to increase the mine's output to 14.000 tons daily.
