Two More Planned In Christchurch
Traffic arm barriers at the Selwyn street and Grove road, Addington, level crossings are in the projected programme for Christchurch, said a Railways Department spokesman. “Level-crossing keepers are becoming hard to get and we expect to have the automatic barriers installed before the middle of next year,” he said. The plans for the two barriers are at present being considered by the Christchurch City Council’s traffic committee. Grove road crosses the railway line Immediately south of the intersection of Lincoln road and Moorhouse avenue.
