Bishop Makes Appointments
Mr H. R. Hornsby, headmaster of Christ's College has been appointed an Honorary Canon of the Christchurch Cathedral by the Bishop of Christchurch the Rt Rev A K Warren
The Bishop has also appointed the Rev R A Carson vicar of Belfast, an Honorarv Canon of the Cathedral Mr Carson was a missionary in India and Pakistan for 19 years while on leave from the diocese >f Christchurch He has been vicar at Belfast for the last three years A combined meeting of the Cathedra) Chapter and the standing comm-tlee nomina’ed to the Bishop the Rev R. O Williams, vicar of Onawa. to be an Honorarv Canon of the Cathedral Mr Williams accented the nomination and the Bishop has appointed him.
