N.S.W.’S ONLY DEFEAT
Sheffield Shield Match (N.Z. Press Assn.—Comirlaht) ADELAIDE. Feb 13 New South Wales today lost their only Sheffield Shield match of the season when South Australia beat them outright by 130 runs. Sgt 401 runs to get in 330 minutes in its second innings in the team’s final match of the season. New South Wales was dismissed for 270 by the left-arm spinners, G Sobers and D Sincock. It was Sobers's match He caused a rout in the New South Wales first innings by taking three quick wickets with pace bowling, and today reverted to slow spinners to follow his grand 251 in South Australia’s second innings yesterday with six New South Wales wiekets for 72. Scores were: South Australia 190 and 8 for 459 declared. defeated New South Wales 249 and 270 (I. Craig 56, N O’Neill 43, R Benaud 38 not out; Sobers 6 for 72, Sincock 3 for 96) by 130 run*
