Parachuting Display
(JV.Z. Press Assn Copynqht) CANBERRA February 12 The Royal New Zealand Air Force would take part in a demonstration of parachuting heavy equipment to be held at Williamstown near Newcastle, on Thursday. the Defence Minister (Mr Athol Townley) announced yesterday. Mr Townley said the demonstration would be the largest such exercise staged in Australia since the war. The New Zealand Air Force would provide a Bristol Freighter.
Gliding at Wigram.— Forty flights were made bv members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Gliding Club at Wigram over the weekend. Three students made solo flights.
