(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Feb. 12. The apprentice jockey, R McDonald, who lost his right eye at the Kumara Racing Club’s meeting last month and who was presented with a cheque and cash after the Westland Racing Club's meeting at Hokitika last Saturday. said today he would like to thank the officials of the Westland and Kumara Racing Clubs and those owners, trainers and members of thp public who had subscribed to the fund. McDonald said he also wanted to thank all those who had visited him in the Westland Hospital, and the doctors and staff of the hospital. for their kindness and attention.
Answer to Correspondent —Curious: Dipnoi has won £4530 At three years he won the Epsom Hack Handicap at Hastings and the Jervois Hack Handicap at Ellerslie. At four he won the Spring Handicap at Avondale and dead-heated with Seafarer in the Waimata Handicap at Te Aroha. This season he has won the W. S. Spence Handicap at Ellerslie and the Pukekohe Jubilee Cup.
