ADELAIDE, February 11. The champion two-year-old filly. Proud Miss, starting 11/8 favourite, won the open class Willunga Handicap (five furlongs) at Morphettville by three lengths in near-record time yesterday. She ran the five furlongs in 58 l-ssec. a fifth of a second outside the track record. Proud Miss has won nine successive races. She is booked to leave for Melbourne on February 20 and is likely to contest the Merson Cooper Stakes at Caulfield on March 3.
She will be taken then to Sydney for the Golden Slipper Stakes at Rostjiill on March 31
