Rugby DR. J. D. STEWART RETURNS
No Plans To Coach
Dr. J. D. Stewart, a lecturer in agricultural economics at Canterbury Agricultural College, who has returned from two years of study overseas, has no immediate plans for resuming the very close connexion with Rugby football which he held in the years before his departure.
A Canterbury representative on many occasions, and also a New Zealand Universities' player. Dr. Stewart was coach of the University of Canterbury team for the first few years of its very successful run since 1955. Dr. Stewart will continue to maintain an interest in the sport this season, but he is unlikely to coach to any great extent either at the University or the Agricultural College.
