The Cambridge Trotting Club will hold its remaining meeting for the 1961-82 season on March 31 and not on May 26 as originally aporoved by the New Zealand Trotting Conference. . The Cambridge secretary (Mr K. B. Allan) said the alteration had been approved by the conference to enable the Cambridge club to proceed with track reconstruction in the autumn
A five-furlong track is olanned incorporating part of the present nine-furlong circuit. It is planned to haw the new track ready for the club’s annual swing meetin? next September.
The Wellington Trotting Club also has a meeting on March 31. but the two clubs have co-operated in framin' programmes which will largely avoid a clash of classes
