£2500 For Courts At Cashmere H.S.
The Education Department has approved the spending of £2500 on two new tennis and basketball courts nt Cashmere High School. The Ministry of Works has been authorised to proceed with the work which will probably begin this school term. Thiis was reported to the school Board of Governors at its meeting yesterday. When board members expressed surprise at the cost, the headmaster (Mr T. H. McCombs) recalled that the foundations tor the present courts were 18in thick and they appeared to be everlasting.
