Australian Prices Continue Firm
Australian shares were still firm in active trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, but not so strong as the day before. New Zealand shares were firmer. Best gains among New Zealand shares were Henry Berry, ex dividend, and Pacific Forests, both up Is, while Dunlop N.Z. rose Is 6d. N.Z. Refrigerating gained another 6d.
Among Australian shares best rises were Australian Chemicals, Clyde Industries, Concrete Industries, Email, Moulded Products, Myer, Repco and Woolworths notes. Reid Murray rose to 5s 6d at the afternoon call in Christchurch, but there was a later sale at 5s sd.
