Waimairi Beach
Sir,—Recent letter* from "Action Please” and “Health First" regarding the conditions of Broad Park are quite true. We, the undersigned, were president and secretary of the now disbanded Waimairi Beach Progress League. We gave, with other members our spare time keeping the park clean. Since handing over the park and assets to the Waimairi council the state of the park ha* been a disgrace. In spite of Cr Colligan's remark* about the council cleaning the park, we feel our former league and park have been let down. —Yours, etc., E L. MEAD. E F. EATWELL. February 8. 1962.
