Nominations 2000gns

Nine nominations to the champion Italian three-year-old Molvedo at 2000gns each were sold within 24 hours in England recently. Molvedo was acclaimed as the champion of Europe after his Prix de I'Arc de Triomphe win last October.

The Italian authorities have enforced a rule which prohibits the export of a classic horse for three years.

Molvedo will stand at the Razza Ticino, which is situated close to the town of Varese in the foothills of the Alps between Lakes Como and Maggiore. Molvedo's racing record is six wins from seven starts His only defeat was in his first race as a two-year-old when he was left at the post. He is by Ribot from Maggiohna by Nakamuro.

Unlikely Starters

There is nothing wrong with these two members of E. Winsloe's team, but they have drawn outside barrier positions in large fields.
