THE COMPANY located in Wellington, one of the largest internationally, is about to diversify and expand its New Zealand operations to include jobbing and also production engineering of an interesting range of commodities. THE JOB involves responsibility for design (from say sketches), estimating costs, preparing quotations, interviewing customers; planning, co-ordinating and progressing production; studying work methods, supervising and instructing staff through four section leaders, and ensuring good customer service generally This appointment will appeal to engineers at about the level of experience described and who are desirous of developing in step with a large company already operating in diverse fields overseas. THE MAN between say 30 - 45 with education to school certificate or preferably a higher standard must have wide experience of modem machine tools and production methods (particularly for use with alloys) in light batch production as well as jobbing operations. He should be rather selfsufficient, having already supervised men and had drawing office experience.
