Seventh round matches in the Canterbury Cricket Association’s competitions began on Saturday. SECOND GRADE B Sydenham 205 (Clarke 36, Thomas 30; Jolley three for 30. Buckley three for 50) met Technical Old Boys 92 for one (Wooders 35 not out, Smith 32 not out). Old Collegians 204 (Lewis 73; Stanger six for 30) met Marist 247 for eight (Stanger 63, Ryan 42).

High School Old Boys A 135 for three declared (Baxter 59 not out. Small 56 not out) beat Old Collegians 79 (Small five for 27, Escott four for 47) and 60 for two wickets, on the first innings. Ricca rton 172 for seven (Garnett 52) beat High School Old Boys B 171 for nine declared (Greig 49 not out; Dawson six for 59), on the first innings. THIRD GRADE A Old Collegians 173 (Wreaks 61; Trist three for 35) met WestUniversity 119 for six (Cockburn 32; Wreaks three for 43).

High School Old Boys 206 (Thomas 36, Austin 35 not out) met Lancaster Park 71 for four (Frengley four for 18). St. Albans 267 for seven declared (Maindonald 120. Morel 67 not out) met East-Shirley 29 for four (Allen four for 8).

East-Shirley 134 (Tate 31 not out; Rae six for 43) drew with West-University 124 for eight (Sturge 36; Roberts three for 22, Parker three for 38 >. Lancaster Park B 128 for three (Ward 38.
