Former Journalist Now In Bangkok
Miss Chirabha Onruang, formerly a journalist in the women’s department of “The Press,” is now one of the most prominent women newspaper photographers in Bangkok. said Miss Cha-orm Purakasikom, winner of the 1962 fellowship offered by the New Zealand Federation of University Women, in Ashburton yesterday. Miss Onruang was awarded the same fellowship in 1956 and spent 1957 at the Victoria University of Wellington. “Mies Onruang writes for the Satrisana, Siamndkorn and Pimthai newspaper,” said Miss Purakasikom. She had also graduated a bachelor of law from the University of Thammasart, in Bangkok.
