Admiral Wants To Go Fishing
(N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 18. A retired British admiral arrived in Auckland in the liner Rangitane today for two months’ holiday in New Zealand during which he intends to do some fishing. He is Rear-Admiral J. E. Cooke, who on leaving the Royal Navy in 1957 was engineer-manager of Portsmouth dockyard. Admiral Cooke is accompanied by his wife Their home is in Malta. They will be staying with friends, Mr and Mrs H. Carter, of Mount Maunganui.
