Stole Money From Campers
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, Jan. 17.
“We are proud of the manner we look after our visitors and you have let us down,” Mr L. N. Ritchie, S.M., told Walton Matehe, aged 43, in the Magistrate’s Court at Gisborne today. Matehe, who pleaded guilty to four charges of theft of money totalling £42 and an £8 wristlet watch was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. Three of the charges related to thefts at the Waikanae Beach camp.
