New Zealand Shares Trade More Firmly
New Zealand shares gained ground in brisker business on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Australian shares tended to ease. New Zealand Breweries, National Insurance, South British B. Fletcher Holdings and Woolworths N.Z. were among the market leaders traded at higher prices. Henderson and Pollard rose Is, Coulls Somerville 6d and Neill Cropper another 3d. Only three Australian shares improved: C.8.A., Emperor Mining and Mount Isa.
