ANSETT BID FOR ANTILLS
Direct Approach To Shareholders (•' Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE. January 10. Ansett Transport Industries. Ltd . will make a direct rpproach to the shareholders ot\ the Sydney transport company, Antill Ranger (Holdings). Ltd. This follow’s the rejection by the board of Antill Ranger ■ f an offer by Ansett Transport Industries, Ltd., to acquire the whole of the issued capital of Antill Ranger. The offer was three Ansett T:ansport 5s ordinary shares for each of the 558.000 10s ordinary shares in Antill. Directors of Antill Ranger s ated in their rejection of the bid that they had no oojection to Ansett making a direct approach to shareholders Directors of Antill Ranger 'Holdings!. Ltd. today adv.scd shareholders "not to sell at this juncture.” The bid was worth the equivalent of 16s Australian for each 10s (Australian) paid share held. The boards decision to recommend rejection of the offer was unanimous.
