MAGISTRATE’S COURT
SATURDAY (Before Messrs J. S. Boughan and W. H. Small, Justices of the Peace) OBSTRUCTED FOOTPATH A 17-year-old youth, Vernon Lee Crichton, wa* fined £lO on a charge of wilfully obstructing the footpath in Cathedral square on the evening of January 5. He pleaded guilty. Sergeant B. D. Read said the accused was asked by a constable on four occasions to move from the footpath in front of a cinema. He refused and wag arrested. REMANDED Eric John Prewer, aged 32, was remanded on bail to January 19 on a charge of assaulting his neighbour, Lawrence Nicholas Gledhill, on January 5. Prewer was ordered to keep away from hi* neighbour* while on remand.
