FEW BATHE AT BEACHES
Little Demand For Rescue Services In spite of calm seas and warm water, cloudy skies and a southerly wind kept many persons from bathing at city beaches yesterday. A slight noriiierly drift was reported ait most beaches but there was no undertow and bathing conditions, except at South Brighton where pot holes and channela have developed, were safe. There was little demand for surf club rescue services yesterday. Most clubs reported an uneventful day. A call was received by the South Brighton Surf Club yesterday morning when it appeared that one member of a party, bathing about one mile south of the club house, was massing. However, he was found to be in no difficulty. During the afternoon a young boy, swimming in front of the clubhouse, was pulled from the water by a club member when he was seen to be out of his depth.
