NEW YORK, January 6
The international playboy Porfirio Rubirosa. whose diplomatic immunity was lifted by the Dominican Republic three days ago, yesterday visited the office of the New York District Attorney for questioning about a 1935 murder. But neither Rubirosa nor the District Attorney, Mr Frank Hogan, would say what took place. Rubirosa, dismissed from his job as Inspector of Embassies for the Dominicans, earlier told reporters that if Mr Hogan wanted to question him “he knows where to find me.”
A spokesman in the District Attorney’s office said that Rubirosa might be questioned “in due time” about the killing of Sergio Bencosme. in a New York flat in 1935.
Rubirosa described reports that he had information about the shooting as “a political thing." He added: “First they fire me and then make up these fabrications ”
