Fewer Inquiries For Work
There were slightly fewer Inquiries for employment at the Christchurch office of the Labour Department after New Year than in previous years, the district superintendent <Mr A. B. Tuck) said yesterday. Several of those who inquired were students and teachers, he said. Many inquiries were about seasonal work at Nelson.
