BLUE BELL GlRL.—This girl from the Blue Bell troupe of dancers is Gillian Elwins, 17-year-old daughter of a London vicar. Miss Elwins had trouble convincing her father that she should be allowed to follow her ambition to dance. Her father gave his permission only when he was assured that she would not be taking part in strip-tease. This photograph was taken last month when Gillian was preparing for a show at the Lido, Paris.
