Linesman Charged With Murder
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. January 4. Patrick William Smith, aged 27, a telegraph linesman. Hamilton, appeared before Mr L. M. Inglis. S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Hamilton today charged with murdering Heather Lilian Griffiths, aged 17. at Tokoroa. on December 30 Detective-Sergeant F. G Fraser asked that accused be remanded to appear at Tokoroa on January 26. Smith consented to the application. He was not represented by counsel.
