Remuera In Glasgow Dock
(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter — Copyright) GLASGOW, Jan. 4
Fire broke out in the 13.000-ton New Zealand Shipping, Company cargo liner Remuera today. The ship is in a Glasgow dock, having arrived recently from Liverpool for repairs. Its name was recently changed from "Parthia.” The Glasgow firemaster, Mr John Swanson, said that the fire was in the cinema projection room on the upper deck. Within an hour the blaze appeared to be under control.
Fire engines drove to the blaze in dense fog and over the snow-covered dockside.
