12 ON CHARGES OF MURDER

Australian Court history was made in Melbourne City Court today when 11 men and a woman were remanded on charges of murder. Detective-Sergeant F. J. Adam of the Melbourne Homicide Squad, said this was the greatest number charged with murder to appear in one Australian Court on one day. The accused are alleged to have killed 11 persons.
