Hornby Woman Badly Hurt
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan, 3. A mother and her four-year-old daughter on holiday in Auckland were injured in a head-on collision between their car and a van in May road, today. With her husband. Corporal Frank Broomfield, an instructor in the R.N.Z.A.F, and her other small daughter, Jeannie, aged seven. Mrs Broomfield, of 19 Avro crescent. Hornby, Christchurch, was staying with her parents in New Windsor road. She was admitted to Green Lane Hospital with a fractured skull Her condition tonight was reported to ba flair. Debra, the injured girl, was taken to Auckland Hospital with head injuries and her condition tonight was not serious.
