Dear Sirs, It rives me very much pleasure in sending you this testimonial on my Renault Dauphine, which I purchased from you recently, and to tell you all about the remarkable trip I have just made to Dunedin and back in my new Dauphine. I towed an Bft caravan, weighing 6cwt and my actual travelling time on the way down was 6.1 hours and the petrol consumption for the whole trip, there and back, worked out a little better than 40 m.p.g. I only changed from top to second gear 5 times. This new Dauphine certainly I has an enormous power unit and has a wonderful performance, especially on hills. The seating accommodation is exceptionally comfortable, especially for rear seat passengers, owing to the long wheel base which allows rear seat passengers to sit well forward of the rear wheels. Also tha new aero-stable suspension on these new models adds greatly to the pleasure and comfort of driving, helping to smooth out road pot-holes, etc. I have now travelled over 10.000 miles with this new model and I would like to add that in my first Renault Dauphine I travelled 40.000 miles with no trouble whatsoever.
