Peter Dawson, who sold more than 13 million records, left only £1555 when he died last September, His win, made in 1956, was granted probate in the Supreme Court today. It left •he whole of the estate to his widow. Constance Bedford Dawson. Mr Dawson was reputed to have made more recordings during his lifetime than any other Australian vocalist. He recorded more than 2500 titles, believed to be the greatest number ever by one artist He died in a Sydney private hospital, aged 79. on September 27. Failing health forced him to retire from the concert platform in 1956.
