Sick Man Taken Off Raoul Island
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Jan. 3.
Mr O. Todd, an employee; of the Civil Aviation Administration. who was taken ill last Monday, was picked up from Raoul Island at 10.30 p.m. yesterday by the Department of Island Territories ship. Moana Roa. One of the ship's boats was used to take Mr Todd from the landing at Fishing Rock on the east coast of the island to the Moana Roa ! which was lying offshore, i The Maona Roa is expected jto arrive at Auckland at 6 pm. tomorrow.
Year’s Sunshine.— With 223 hr 6min of sunshine in December. the total sunshine i recorded in Christchuch during 1961 amounted to 2040 hr 24min.
