THEFT FROM CAR AT KAIRAKI
Holidaymaker's Loss Personal possessions worth about £lOO were stolen from the car of a Timaru shopkeeper on a caravan holiday at Kairaki on Christmas night. The shopkeeper, Mr Raymond Charles Hill, left his car locked at 8 p.m. When he went to his car at 9 a.m. yesterday, it was still locked, he told the Kaiapoi police, but a camera worth £4O. a binocular worth £2O. an electric razor worth £lO, and several other items had been taken from it. The police believe that the thieves had a key which fitted the door lock of Mr Hill’s car. a popular model.
