PRESBYTERIAN MINISTER
Rev. W. Wyngen For Wellington The Rev. W. van Wyngen, minister of St James’s Presbyterian Church, Spreydon, has been called to be minister of the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church in Wellington. The call was sustained on Tuesday by the Wellington Presbytery. Mr van Wyngen was a minister in the Dutch Reformed Church in Holland before he came to New Zealand in 1951. For the first five years in New Zealand he lived in Christchurch and ministered to Dutch people in the South Island. He then became minister at Spreydon. Bom in Amsterdam, Mr van Wyngen is a graduate of the universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht. During World War 11, he served as chaplain to the Ist Netherland Pioneer Division. In 1945 he served for some months with the Ist Canadian Army. At present he is visiting Holland and will be inducted into his new charge after he returns in January.
