Slow Entries For S.I. Tourney
(N.Z. Press Association) TTMARU. Dec 19. Concern at the slow arrival of entries for the South Island tennis tournament was expressed at a meeting of the management committee of the South Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association tonight. Entries were to close tomorrow but it was decided to delay the closing date until Friday after the secretary (Miss M. B. Campbell* had reported that only 30 had been received so far. She thought the cause might be the delay with mails at this time of year. The tournament will open on December 30.
