COMMERCIAL Firmer Trend Yesterday In Australian Shares
Leading Australian shares tended to firm in New Zealand business yesterday. Colonial Sugar, 55s up at £5l 10s, headed the list of gains. , Sleigh, Myer and Mount Isa were also firmer. A.C.I. dropped Is 3d to 60s and Ansett eased to 4s 6d. Other Australian shares were unchanged. The market for New Zealand shares was listless. Dunlop N.Z.. Is up at 3. s, made the best gain. New Zealand Breweries, Farmers’ 1 lading and Wilson and Horton shares were also firmer. Z* e " Industrial Gases old and B shares both fell sharply ’fL“ rs t ? ex business at 645. New Zealand Insurance B. British Office Supplies. K.D.V. Industries, New Zealand Farmers* Fertiliser B, \ ictona Laundry old and B shares and Whitcombe and Tombs rights were also easier.
