ELECTRIC SHOCK KILLS MAN
Machine Touches Power Lines (NJ! Press Association) DUNEDIN, Dec. 20. Maxwell George Wilson, aged about 24, single, whose home is at Waimate. was killed by electric shock on Mr W Andrews’s farm at Stony Creek, about six miles north of Balclutha. this morning. The jib of a well-drilling machine was being raised when it struck some high tension power lines carrying 33.000 volts. Mr Wilson’s nephew. Brian George Taylor, of Weston, near Oamaru, was injured and admitted to the Balclutha Hospital. He suffered burns to the feet, but his injuries are reported to be not serious and his condition is satisfactory. Motor-cyclist Injured.—-Mr Imam Suvandi. of 7 Wilfrid street, suffered minor leg injuries yesterday when his motor-cycle was Involved in a collision with a car about 4.35 pm in Lie Meld street the Central Fire Station. Mr Suga nd! was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and sent home.
