“Irresponsible Attitude” fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Dec. 20. It was to be regretted that the workers in some freezing works had decided not to kill stock between Christmas and New Year, said the general secretary of Federated Farmers, Mr A. P. O'Shea, in a statement today. “In some years this might be of considerably less importance than it is at the present time when we are experiencing an almost unprecedented drought,” said Mr O’Shea.
“From the point of view of our national finances, particularly our overseas funds, this attitude shows a sense of ' irresponsibility and lack of concern that is hard to understand.”
