BOY DIES OF INJURIES
Struck By Car At Riccarton A boy aged three was fatally injured when he was struck by a car in Avonhead road about 9.5 p.m. on Saturday. He was: Paul Murray Sinclair, son of Mr and Mrs S. Sinclair, of 54 Witihelhs road. Upper Riccarton. The boy was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital, but was found to be dead on arrival. The boy had been attending an end-of-the-year Sunday school gathering with his parents at the Anglican Church Hall at the comer of of Avonhead road and Coniston avenue. He walked out on to the road, and was struck by a car driven by Norman Alan Cooper, of 42 Aorangi road. Members of the motor accident inquiry branch at the Central Police Station want to interview anyone who saw the accident. Re-elected.—Mr H. Cox was re-elected chairman of the Halswell County Council at the annual meeting on Thursday. Mr J. G Macartney was re-elected deputychairman. The chairman’s allowance was fixed at £l5O
