DRUNKEN DRIVING
Charged Twice Within Hour (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Dec. 13 A man was twice brought before the Magistrate’s Court in Coffs Harbour, 350 miles north of Sydney, on charges of driving under the influence of drink within an hour today. He is Ross Arthur John Ide, a farmer, aged 28, who appeared before Mr J. C. Teece. S.M., at the opening of the Court, and was granted a remand to January 23 on charges of driving under the influence of drink and negligent driving. Within half an hour Ide was again brought before the Court, charged on a second count of driving under the influence of drink, resisting arrest an-> indecent language He was again remanded. Air Strength.— Little evidence was available that Soviet fighters, bombers and helicopters were superior to Western air strength, the 1961 edition of Britain’s major aviation reference book "Jane’s Aircraft” said today.—London, December 13.
