FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone lies over the central Tasman Sea and a ridge of high pressure extends on to New Zealand. Forecast:— Canterbury.—Light to moderate variable winds; some areas of fog and low cloud at first; otherwise partly cloudy with moderate temperatures. Outlook: little change. Marlborough, Nelson and West Coast.—Light to moderate variable winds, apart from moderate to fresh southerlies at first about Cook Strait; fine and mild. Outlook: fine.
