TRIALS AT HOWICK
Flying Dutchman Class (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 13. Fifteen entries have been received so far for the New Zealand Flying Dutchman yachting trials to be sailed at Howick from December 26 to 30. The winner will become New Zealand representative in the world championship contest at Florida in March. The runner-up will also be sent to assist in tuning up and training, and will compete in a series of races at the same time as the championship. Subject to obtaining concession freight rates to Australia, the third and fourth boats will be sent to Sydney to compete for the Australian and New Zealand championship at the end of January. Late entries can be made up to the date of the trials.
