SPEEDOMETER TESTS
Rule For Warrants Of Fitness Examiners for warrants of fitness merely need to satisfy themselves that speedometers are in good working order, and it is not necessary for any special road tests to be made. This clarification has been obtained by the City Council from the Commissioner of Transport (Mr A. E. Forsyth). From September 1, every motor vehicle other than a trailer or a power-cycle, first registered after December 1, 1951. and capable of a speed in excess of 30 miles an hour, must be fitted with an efficient speedometer in working order.
